Lecture about Graffiti and street art in cities – between challenges and opportunities for local development, Institute of Geography and Spatial Management, Jagiellonian University, Krakow, 08th of May 2025

On 08th of May 2025, Associate Professor Habil. Andreea-Loreta Cercleux from Faculty of Geography, University of Bucharest, visiting professor at the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, as part of the Erasmus+ Teaching Assignment mobility program, had a lecture entitled Graffiti and street art in cities – between challenges and opportunities for local development. The lecture was a multifaced comparative approach between the urban art phenomenon in Romania, and especially in Bucharest as case study, and different cities at international level focusing on urban art participation in the local development projects.

The event created the opportunity for new collaborations on the topic of urban art from a geographical perspective with professors from the Institute of Geography and Spatial Management, Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
